Elissa is a founder and co-owner of Elian Web Services. She began her involvement with web design as a technical writer for a Santa Barbara medical device manufacturer. As the primary html programmer for the company's website, she developed strong project management skills and an interest in emerging internet technologies.

Interest in web design prompted Elissa to enroll in the Webmaster certificate program through UC Extenstion, which she completed in June of 1998. Subsequently, she worked as an intranet designer for GTE Government Systems, and shortly thereafter started Elian Web Services.
