Background

Lynden is an Associate Director of Elian Global where his focus is on business development activity and the management of a growing corporate services and international finance team.

Lynden has extensive experience and specialises in the incorporation, governance and administration of complex offshore corporate structures, including investment trusts and partnerships for corporate and institutional clients. Lynden has a proven track record in providing tailored and commercially effective solutions for a wide range of offshore related matters including managing distressed situations, resolving regulatory compliance matters, restructurings and liquidations. Lynden has provided directorship services to a number of SPV's, hedge funds, structured finance vehicles, asset holding companies and various offshore private companies utilized to complete international financial transactions.

He accumulated his extensive experience in the various aspects of offshore structures and corporate finance in his previous roles at a corporate governance firm, Ernst & Young and Deloitte. During his tenures, his hedge fund and private equity client base had assets in excess of US$150 billion under management.

Lynden began his career in public accounting with Deloitte, South Africa, where as an Audit Manager he was responsible for supervising large global audits across several industries, as well as training staff in audit methodologies. Lynden is a Chartered Accountant and holds the designation of an Accredited Director with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Lynden holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and an Honours Degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa and he is a member of the Cayman Islands Director Association, the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
