The Netherlands has a wide ranging network of double tax agreements with many countries which makes it an interesting jurisdiction for locating SPVs for a variety of loan related transactions. SFM Netherlands has seen particular growth in holding structures established on behalf of private equity and hedge funds, most notably in relation to investment in portfolios of distressed debt assets in Spain and Germany. The team’s efficient and highly responsive approach has been instrumental in this success.
