Technical Attributes

  • To act as the MLRO and Compliance Officer in respect of compliance, financial crimes and sanctions for the Funds service line
  • To be responsible for ensuring compliance within laws, regulations and regulatory guidance that may affect the Funds service line in all of Elian’s jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to implement and maintain financial crime, sanctions and terrorist financing policies and procedures, monitor their adequacy and deliver training to Funds team
  • Be responsible for delivery of the approved compliance monitoring program

Client Care

  • Be approachable when providing assistance and advice to the Funds team on Regulatory Compliance and AML/CFT matters
  • Support any relevant client boards in the maintenance of financial crime risk assessments

People & Team

  • Collaborate and support the Associate Director with the Compliance team’s Business planning and in the maintenance of the Business Risk Assessments
  • Manage the Compliance (Funds) team in the achievement of the team’s objectives
  • Promote Compliance objectives across Elian
  • Take care of and establish good relationships with all team and clients
  • Drive personal development using all the resources available at Elian to achieve success


  • Accurately record all time spent dealing with client matters to ensure the client’s are correctly invoiced

Skills & Expertise

  • Proven excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Good understanding of the range of fiduciary products offered in the Funds service line
  • Demonstrated effective communicator and relationship management skills
  • Experience working within a compliance function
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves and their client
  • Holding, working towards or willing to work towards, a relevant compliance-related qualification
